Katheline LeConte is trained Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who specializes in trauma, domestic violence , and individual & family counseling, and crisis. Katheline has over 10 years of experience in mental health and providing support ton individuals during various life events/circumstances. Katheline embarked on the journey of providing therapeutic and supportive services to women and families by offering birth doula services in 2019. She founded Birthing Boston as a way to increase the accessibility of doulas of color in Massachusetts. Katheline looks forward to being apart of the change in policy regarding doula accessibility to all families in and around the state. Katheline looks forward to being a support and providing extra care during such a life changing experience in whatever way this may be needed for a family. Katheline is here to advocate, empower, and support you.

Andrea Barbosa is a trained/certified Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who is well versed in trauma informed care, mental health, and substance use. Andrea is a mother of one amazing son who has been a testimony that being a parent is in fact a superpower. Andrea’s passion for supporting women in the remarkable journey of childbirth stemmed from her own childbirth experience. In this process, she understood that a women’s body is a phenomenal vessel used to bring life into this world which takes internal power, focus and determination. Equally important, this journey takes a supportive community approach. In the birth doula experience, Andrea hopes to utilize solutions focused and spirituality driven modalities to provide the best wholistic support for the birthing person, partner and family members involved. This may include but not limited to prayer (if desired), essential oils, teaching comfort measures, and providing evidenced based research for client’s knowledge. Andrea is also fluent in Portuguese creole and looks forward to providing support to families in underserved communities. Andrea is available for questions and additional information on supports offered through the doula services.

Deborah Jean-Francois, an Emergency Medicine Registered Nurse with expertise in trauma-informed care, mental health, and substance use, draws inspiration for supporting women in childbirth from witnessing her sisters and close friends embark on motherhood. Despite not yet being a mother herself, she recognizes the profound support that accompanies this journey. As a birth doula, Deborah embraces a holistic approach, incorporating evidence-based research, comfort, compassion, herbal remedies, and prayer in alignment with the birthing person's needs, beliefs, and desires.
Beyond her role as an emergency medicine nurse, Deborah is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated and takes pride in not only giving back to the community, but sisterhood. Deborah also serves as a school nurse, ensuring the care and safety of students in every school she enters. In addition to her impactful role as an emergency medicine nurse, Deborah is a dedicated member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, where she finds joy in both community service and fostering sisterhood.
Concurrently serving as a school nurse, Deborah dedicates herself to ensuring the health and safety of students in every school she engages with. Fluent in Haitian Creole, she eagerly anticipates offering indispensable support to families in underserved communities. Jackie Anne Joseph is a mom, Boston-native, singer, songwriter, Global IT Project Manager and founder of a non-profit organization A.R.T.S. Foundation Inc her personal mission and commitment as a doula, is to provide a safe birthing experience for all black mommas.
Her unique vision for being your personal doula can be described as Transforming Pain into Passion. As a fellow momma who has experience with high-risk birth, I am committed to providing emotional support.
